Ember Deck — Privacy Policy
Ember Deck is published by Ennes Labs. This privacy policy describes how the Ember Deck Android application handles information. It is a supplement to the Ennes Labs general privacy policy, which covers the principles behind every product we ship.
Short version
Ember Deck does not collect, transmit, or share any information about you. It has no network access, no analytics, no advertising, no third-party SDKs, and requests no runtime permissions. Everything happens on your device.
What Ember Deck does and does not do
What Ember Deck does:
- Saves your run progress and settings locally on your device using Android's standard app-private storage.
- Generates all sound effects and ambient audio procedurally, in memory, while the game is running. Nothing is downloaded and no audio files are written to disk.
- Reads and writes only within its own private sandbox, which no other app can access.
What Ember Deck does not do:
- Access the internet. Ember Deck opens no network connections of any kind.
- Use analytics, telemetry, crash reporting, or advertising SDKs.
- Require an account, sign-in, user profile, or cloud sync.
- Display advertisements.
- Offer in-app purchases.
- Access your photos, contacts, location, microphone, camera, or any other personal data.
- Integrate any third-party services or SDKs.
- Phone home to verify your purchase or check for licensing. Once installed, it runs offline forever.
Information Ember Deck stores locally
To do its job, Ember Deck saves the following on your device only, using SharedPreferences. None of this leaves your device:
- Run progress — up to three save slots, each containing your chosen Warden, current act and floor, health, gold, remaining Oaths, Ascension level, and the cards and relics collected on that run. Progress is saved automatically as you play.
- Settings — your sound-effects preference and the last save slot you used.
All of this data is stored in the app's private sandbox and is not accessible to other apps. Uninstalling Ember Deck removes all of it immediately.
Network access
Ember Deck does not request the INTERNET permission and opens no network connections. There is no Ennes Labs server involved in Ember Deck's operation, because the app never contacts one.
Permissions
Ember Deck requests no runtime permissions. It does not access your contacts, camera, microphone, location, calendar, SMS, call history, storage outside its own sandbox, or any other sensitive permission.
Ownership, updates, and support
Ember Deck follows Ennes Labs' customer-ownership commitments:
- You buy Ember Deck once. There are no subscriptions, recurring charges, or in-app purchases.
- Every future update and bug fix is included — free, for as long as Ennes Labs maintains the application.
- Support questions can be sent to info@enneslabs.com at any point in the application's lifetime.
- The application doesn't contact a licensing server to verify your purchase. Once installed, it runs offline indefinitely.
Children's privacy
Ember Deck is a fantasy card game rated for ages 10 and up, and its Google Play target audience is 13 and over. Regardless of who plays it, Ember Deck collects no personal information of any kind, does not connect to the internet, does not use advertising, does not enable communication between users, and requires no account or sign-in. It therefore complies with the United States Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) as applied to minors (sometimes called GDPR-K), and equivalent children's privacy protections worldwide.
Specifically, Ember Deck does not:
- Collect any personal information from users of any age.
- Enable communication between users, or between users and third parties.
- Serve advertising of any kind, including behavioral or contextual.
- Use third-party analytics, tracking, attribution, or advertising SDKs.
- Share any information with any third party, because there is no information to share.
- Offer in-app purchases, subscriptions, or any transactions after install.
- Ask for any information from the player — no name, no email, no age, no anything.
Because Ember Deck neither collects nor transmits information about anyone, it also does not knowingly or unknowingly collect information from children under 13. There is no data pipeline through which such information could travel.

Changes to this policy
If we ever change how Ember Deck handles information, this policy will be updated and the change will be announced in the app's Play Store release notes. Any change that would result in new data collection would require an update that you choose to install; existing installed versions of Ember Deck would continue to behave exactly as this policy describes.
